All in all – not a fan.Īnd that’s it! Overall I have to say it’s a pretty decent issue, especially in light of what we’ve gotten so far this year. I can’t really find much appealing at all with this style. This whole design looks awkward – the length, the lapel shape, the random zippers. There were a few crazy (leopard print) designs this month that weren’t exactly the most appealing, but in the end I have to give the BWTF award to: Crazy awkward vest! Now, a bit more challenging was picking the bottom design for the month. I predict we will be seeing some fantastic versions pop up in the near future. I can definitely see it looking great in a solid or a print, or with some interesting color blocking, and I think it will look great on a lot of different body types. Although there were a lot of great designs, it is pretty obvious that the Best of BS for August 2015 goes to: Classic sheath dress! Which means it is time to pick the top and bottom designs from this issue.

I wasn’t overly excited by the Burda Plus options this month – none of the designs felt particularly special or innovative.Īnd that’s pretty much it for this issue. I do rather like the bottoms in this issue the skirts have a particularly appealing classic style.

The vests in this issue really aren’t anything to get too excited about. I’m also a bit partial to the burgundy sweater top as well. There aren’t a lot of exciting tops, but the yellow ruffles do look like they would be good for layering.

The tan jacket has some especially lovely design details (it rather reminds me of a spread from the January 2004 Burda), though the cropped green jacket looks like it would be a great piece for layering and simple to make as well. The jackets also include some lovely designs this month as well. There are some lovely seaming details that would be great both in solids or with a color blocked design. though probably not enough to buy the magazine. The standout pieces in this issue are definitely the dresses. 17 Replies to ooobop review: Burda Style August 2015 Rachel says: Jat 8:08 am. It’s taken eight months, but I think Burda has finally put out an exciting issue this year! There isn’t really anything that I would consider to be a stand-out piece, but on the whole there are a lot of solid designs in this issue.
